Bologna is situated in the Emilia Romagna region. It is in the north east part of Italy, two hours from Milan by train. Beginning in January 2009, a high speed train service will be available between Milan and Bologna (roughly one hour).
Bologna "G. Marconi" Airport is about forty minutes by bus from the city center.
To travel from the Airport's Arrivals Terminal to Bologna Railway Station, take bus #35 or #20. Fares, routes and timetables are available on the ATC website.
Taxis are available outside the railway station or can be booked by telephoning COTABO Radio Taxi (+39 051 372727) or CAT Radio Taxi (+39 051 534141). Approximate fare is 35.
